Could be a boom time for matresses and shotguns......

Another move to increase the indebtedness of the general population, first increased access to "credit", second, penalising savers. A population in debt is a population that can be manipulated....

Everyone else is doing it.

It just seems very unfair on the people who have scrimped and saved (me included).

i don't really go along with the conspiracy macliam, the fact is that they're trying to stimulate by lowering rates further and further.. but it's a real mess. it might take a while, but inflation ahead.

and gold/silver/bitcoin could be set to really benefit AAAT. not sure what to think re equities. on one hand the qe finds it's way in to the markets, and bloated corporate debt would inflate away too.. but it has to be risky.

"Now, the Bank of England has signalled that it may take the cost of borrowing below zero"

Surely the answer is to borrow more than you save??

Gold? At record highs. No thanks
Bitcoin? A prime example of the Greater Fool theory.

i'd be prepared to bet that Gold is higher priced, in pounds, a year from now than it is today?
