that is incorrect, and is just a throw away line which fits the narrative you are pushing.

as it happens the use of CBDCs will force even those who don't want to get used to digital currencies into doing so, and in theory provide cryptocurrency on ramps.. but regardless, the distinction is clear, and 'the advocates of crypto' clarify that consistently. the increased control that is coming is going to make the distinction very very clear to anyone that wants to opt out of that control.

was talking last night of the times when some regulars here were into the incentives for new online casinos, bagging them and moving to the next one for more bonuses. i remember a gathering at the Metropole near Birmingham when some of the guys had bagged tens of thousands. i never took the time to get into it all, but should have done.

nowadays there's all sorts of fun to be had with incentives for stashing Bitcoin into BTC Savings Accounts, and good rates to be bagged.. but i don't think any of the other regulars here are holding Bitcoin at all. in the old days some here would have been all over the crypto market.

Difference is plants is your £200 in crypto today could be worth 1p tomorrow. Too risky for a lot of folk.

no one can say how the returns will play out going forwards, but i can't imagine not wanting significant exposure to the Bitcoin price. i was messing around checking the best rates on Bitcoin from six different providers last night, looking at the best way to spread it around.. it just occurred to me that it would be good to be bouncing it around with people 'here' like in the good old days.
