It is worth using the Nectar app. Weekly bonus points offers, mostly relating to prior purchases - eg 50 points on a particular yogurt, 20 points on loose onions.
Last year they did a couple of bonus offers - extra points for buying fruit and veg, with more for hitting targets. I didn't keep a detailed track but reckon that I got more than 10% back in points value.

i was kind of hanging on until last November to be able to spend Nectar at Sainsbury's at a better rate.. but then didn't get to it. not sure if the promo kicked in or not.
They did run Double Up again last year (during November, as you say) but with very minimal advertising. It had a promotional tile on the Nectar app/website, but I didn't see any posters or leaflets in any Sainsbury's stores, just a few small shelf-edge signs. So pretty easy to miss.

yes I use the app too pab. I tend to click on the offers but then I just go and buy what I fancy.. and then see that sometimes there are bonus points added. the little ‘scratch card’ game seems to have come to an end now. I assume Everyone won, as I did every time.
while we’re at it; I do nectar search on a desktop in the office and usually bag 200 NPs/m that way.
and yes, it got past me in November Sarah. after the current fiddling around will have 30k+ NPs to use next November if the same deal is available.

I had the scratch game yesterday after shopping in Sainsbury's on Monday (unusual as it's usually the same day); so probably still going, although it doesn't appear every time for me. It's possible to opt-out of the game in settings, but presumably you haven't done that. I only win about 1/2 or maybe 2/3 of the time.

oh yes, just checked and 'Swipe & Win' is 'On' haha..
previously i've always been invited to play & have always won. a lad who worked for me used to take my card when he went to buy a sandwich or tobacco and i used to play and win every time he went too. maybe i've had my fill. i assumed 'everyone's a winner'.

i'll convert back when it's possible to do so.. perhaps we'll remind each other here
In theory it should be safe to do now that the promotion is over, but I'll wait until the bonus has been awarded anyway. I'm in no rush to spend any Nectar or Avios points, so holding out for a few more weeks won't inconvenience me.
