perhaps we should be converting back to Avios..

"We see you’re ahead of the game and have already linked your Nectar and British Airways accounts. Nice job! Keep collecting Nectar points on your everyday shop so you can convert your points into Avios.

Getting ready for your next escape? Then now’s the time to start converting your Nectar points to Avios, because you could win a whopping 100,000 Avios on top.
Phone with 100,000 bonus points
Where would you go with 100,000 Avios?
Convert your Nectar points into Avios by 28 July and you could bag up to 100,000 Avios.*

Plus you’ll get an entry for every 400 Nectar points you convert.
"

I've not had any luck with other similar schemes linked to payment cards. MSE says that Nectar haven't published the list of participating retailers, which is somewhat unhelpful.
Nectar says "hundreds" of firms are taking part – it's not published a full list but others include Coach, FatFace, Five Guys, Harvey Nichols, Hawes & Curtis, Kate Spade, Lakeland, Kidly, Matalan, Pets at Home and Quiz.

I find that most of these payment schemes including ones linked to bank accounts are joined with either companies I never use, can getter better prices for the same goods elsewhere or are quite obscure. Not worth the hassle IMO. One big drawback I think is that you have to actively check the app first and activate the offer. I think Halifax does the same requiring activation first. Remembering to do this and then checking which is the best offer and deciding which card to use just takes to much time.

Online transfer Avios -> Nectar are now available - although there are reports of people having difficulty in logging in to make the transfers

back to Avios again temporarily though pab, for a chance to win 100,000 Avios as above?
that would be handy spending in Sainsbury's (potentially in November?)
