Tesco Clubcard Vouchers Expiry

If you have Tesco Clubcard Vouchers that would expire today, you might have received an e-mail like this:

We know that you may not have been able to use your Clubcard vouchers as you planned this year. So, as a little help from Clubcard, you’ve got extra time to spend your vouchers which were due to expire on 28 February 2021. That means any vouchers issued in February 2019 won’t expire until 31 August 2021, giving you an extra 6 months to use them.

However, beware that on this occasion they've only extended vouchers issued in February 2019 and not those that were already extended to 28/02/2021 from 6 months ago. Therefore, if you have any vouchers originally issued in 2018, please check your account as the expiry date is probably still 28/02/2021 with just hours remaining to boost them!

In practice, if you miss the redemption date, they'll disappear online but paper vouchers might still be redeemable instore at face value for a short time.

I prefer to boost them (multiply the value) however with Tesco Direct, Red Spotted Hanky and even Halfords Autocentre gone from the scheme in recent years and now most entertainment venues closed too, the interesting options are much reduced. I boosted for Prezzo today but only the minimum amount possible!

Tesco Clubcard Rewards are due to revert back from 12 months to 6 months validity from today.

Following the closure of many of our Reward Partners due to COVID-19, we extended the validity of Reward Partner codes from 6 months to 12 months. This was to make sure our customers had enough time to use their codes once our partners had reopened again.

As things are slowly getting back to normal, from Monday 1 November, we’re changing the validity of our Reward Partner codes back to 6 months from the order date.* The expiry date of any current codes will stay the same.

Disney+ subscription with Tesco Clubcard now double value for a limited time, that's £8 for 6 months!

From 11 April – 29 April at 10am, £8 of Clubcard vouchers can be exchanged for a 6 month subscription.

Here's how our Clubcard Reward Partner scheme is changing
From 14 June**, when you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for a Reward Partner code, they’ll be worth up to 2x as much, not up to 3x the value, as they are now.

Tesco Clubcard continues to have the biggest and most generous Reward Partner scheme with access to over 100 Reward Partners at 2x your Clubcard voucher value. So you can still make great savings on everything from family fun, dining out, cinema trips and more.

To give you extra time to decide when to use your Tesco Clubcard vouchers with Reward Partners, we’re extending the validity period on Tesco Clubcard Reward Partner codes ordered from 17 March until 13 June so that they’re valid for 12 months†, rather than the usual 6 months. So don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to use them at their current value before we make the change.

**For customers opted into the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club scheme who receive a quarterly statement or exchange in between statement periods via Request Virgin Points, the exchange will change to 2x from 21 July.
