just been speaking with RBS. i had opted to leave the TSB account open, so they've classified this switch as only a "partial switch" and not paid the £200.

It is one of the conditions with all these switches that you close the old account when you transfer.

Sorry to hear that. Yeah, full switch is usually necessary to qualify for a bonus.

the way i was guided on the phone at the time was that that was not the case.

I guess that is something you might be able to take up with RBS. Under mis-selling rules. Probably will not get very far though and may need to go to the ombudsman.

Hopefully they recorded the call, then it could be used to support a complaint.
Are you closing your recently opened TSB S&S account? Switching it to another bank before Quidco pay out will probably forfeit the £75 cashback (and the additional £75 for staying with TSB until October).

no, it was an account i already had set up. hopefully the closure of that does trigger the £200 from RBS and then i can continue to bag £5s from TSB S&S. i will shortly have only 5 current accounts, which is lean for me
