there’s nothing en route, is there?
i assume tonyg is just drawing our attention to the previous requirements so that hopefully we benefit if Nationwide make a further payment?

Nationwide customers to get £50 each after Virgin deal
The payments will go to more 12 million customers who:
  • Had a savings or current account, or mortgage, at the end of last September
  • Additionally, have made at least one transaction on their current account or savings, or had a balance of at least £100 in their current account, savings or mortgage in the 12 months to the end of September last year
  • Still have their accounts or mortgage at the time the payment is made

I think this could be my first ever windfall/mutual benefit (assuming I qualify, which seems likely).

i saw the news, but then can see the above via the App, and now the following via Email:

"On 1 October 2024, we completed the purchase of Virgin Money, becoming an even stronger force in UK banking. This was made possible by the financial strength Nationwide members, like you, helped us build. To say thank you, we are pleased to be sending you, and over 12 million of our Nationwide members, a one-off payment of £50 as part of The Big Nationwide Thank You."

have you received the same? i hope so.

in addition they go on to say..

"Is this the Fairer Share payment?
No, this is in addition to the Fairer Share payment you received last year. We would like to make another Fairer Share payment this year, which will depend on how we perform financially. We will be able to let you know when we announce our full year results in May.
"

it's worth getting on board to benefit from such payments imv
