it all boils down to the various businesses 'sticking to their knitting', but it could be good for Tesco as a business, and potentially for customers. it'll be interesting to see how Barclays play a part in the Clubcard scheme.

It'll be a few months before Barclays get the keys and take control at Tesco personal finance. It will probably need regulatory clearance from CMA and FCA.
I don't see any product changes until the autumn at the earliest.

There's now a proposed transfer date...
The proposed transfer is subject to court approval, as required by law. If it takes effect, Barclays will continue to use the Tesco Bank brand on all existing Tesco Bank banking products through a long-term strategic partnership with Tesco. This proposed transfer is due to take effect on 1 November 2024, and if approved your account(s) and product(s) will transfer to Barclays on that date.
