i can't see the offer now, or the details? can anyone else?

used my FD Mastercard Debit card in a pub last night. just tried to make a small payment to NS&I:

"Your debit card transaction was declined."



i was thinking this is a decent angle, and a bit more fun than the £5s from TSB via the S&S accounts. the appeal of those with just the £5s and not the entry bonuses has reduced for me.

i'm trying to get my FD card to work on the NS&I site.. FD are saying it is a Mastercard decline as a result of the addresses not matching, but they should be the same

Perhaps it's just for new customers switching to First Direct? Maybe you received an e-mail? I can only find links to a similar promotion last year:

it appeared on the app.
i've spoken to them on the phone again today.. have to say they are a different level to TSB.
they "reset" my postal address and now i am free to use the card: 1 x pizza, 3 x bar bills and 26 x contributions to my NS&IDS and i'm qualified for the month

Yes, the customer service at First Direct is highly regarded. That's one reason I've kept an account with them for 28 years!
