An important discussion thing

Post by blythburgh » Sat Jun 29 2019 10:35am

I am tired of stupid discussions like clilmate change and single use plastics.

About time we had an intelligent and important discussions like this one:

How should you eat a cream tea. Jam on scone then cream or cream on scone and then the jam.

And as a side topic which is the correct way to say scone.

Depends where you live,

Devon = Scone, Cream Jam
Cornwall = Scone, Jam Cream

As for pronunciation, try this: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictio ... lish/scone Click on the loudspeaker.

And there are other important issues that need discussing:

Should the scone be buttered first or not?

Should the scone be plain or fruit?

And if you go to the Norfolk Naturalists place in Cley Next the Sea, Norfolk you can get a lovely savoury version in the cafe area there. Cheese scone, a little dish of cream cheese and a little dish of a decent chutney. Heavenly
