Well these results of the virus shutdown is certainly not restricted to Scotland: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland- ... ting-story
What a sad comment on life in the UK that these places have to be boarded up to prevent looting/vandalism.

It really makes you wonder what type of feral animals lurk just below the surface.

Stockpiling could be classed as a form of looting!

We all know the exception to this rule but most "stockpiling" is because people buy one extra per shop "just in case" or buy extra because they can only go to the shop once a week

Last night I received news that an old friend of mine is in ICU with COVID-19.
He had been taken inro hospital on Friday and tested, but the family had kept quiet until results were in.

His wife is stuck in their small flat in Camden, but her married son has moved in with her (self-isolating at present), leaving his own wife and sons in North London. The wife hasn't been tested, despite being in close contact... so now she and their son are potentials.

My friend is currently stable and on oxygen via a mask (I hope not due to a lack of respirators). Of course, nobody can visit him and the family only get a once a day update from the hospital.

This sh*t just got real.

Sorry to hear that. I expect we'll hear it a lot more over the next few weeks. At least we're also beginning to see some movement on ventilators, staff etc. I hope it is enough and in time.

So, does that only apply in London then? What if he's in Manchester?

It's testing we need.... my godson has moved back in with his mother, but she can't be tested...... lunacy.

The number of registered cases worldwide jumped 100,000 in 24 hours (now 911,578). It took a month to reach the first 100.000..... that's what exponential growth means.
