"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations that would have warranted police intervention"
The "might" here is going to the intervention, not to the breach
Quoting statement as
"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations"
is misleading
"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations that would have warranted police intervention"
means there was a breach, but not one sufficiently seriousness for more than advice
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1265 ... 25573.htmlSo in summary:
- confused police statement wording
- police consider the Castle Barnard trip as an offence under the regulations
- but on known facts it was so minor that words of advice would have been given
- only if words of advice rejected, more formal police powers invoked
As he's not a party member, imagine the damage he could do from outside the tent. Imagine the insider knowledge he has of the machinations of the Brexit campaign......stephen001 wrote: ↑Fri May 29 2020 11:47amcummings must have something over boris they have been hand in hand for years what would be the real consequences if cummings was sacked ?, why is he so important to the gov that he commands the gov to embarrace themselves with playground excuses reasons for his arrogance.
