The more I hear the less I think Cummings was justified in all his actions over Durhamgate.

And it is not just remainers like me who think he should go. The man behind a leading Tory website who is an ardant Brexiteer thinks he should go. Leading Brexiteer MP's think he should go.

And I bet every person who has been fined for breaking the lockdown because they only did so for the sake of their child/children want him sacked.

And we know Cummins is prepared to lie to get the result he wants. So how can I believe he drove all the way to his parents farm without stopping. He had a four year old child on board, no child of that age and few adults could have done the journey with a "comfort" stop.

When we will the PM stop defending his friend and listen to Brexiteers, Remainers and those on the fence who are appalled at Cummings behaviour?

In response to the fierce opposition to Mr Cummings, where many MPs, bishops and commentators have called for his resignation, Express.co.uk polled readers on the matter.

The survey, carried out from 9am-7pm on May 26, asked: "Did Dominic Cummings make a mistake with lockdown journeys?"

The majority of the 19,198 respondents said Mr Cummings, who masterminded the Vote Leave campaign in the EU referendum, did not make a wrong move.

Almost two thirds, 62 percent (11,587 people) voted "no", while 35 percent (,,,,, people) said "yes".

Just three percent (630 people) responded "maybe".

Boris has lost touch with the people . Cummings has got to go or it will cost lives . Many people are already using this to ignore the guidelines and the police are saying they don't know what to reply to people who say they are only doing what Cummings did.

A lot of people would do the same in trying to protect their children but the public are looking at the fact that he broke the guidelines and if he did why shouldn't they ?
