INTERNATIONAL FALAFEL DAY
Never heard of Falafel so I looked it up - It's a chickpea dish https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/inte ... d%20sauces.

Good question for QOTM
Available in all leading supermarkets. Often money back available on GreenJinn. Delicious as a meat alternative in wraps with salad.

What is an act of light? Am I supposed to hold a torch for a neighbour? Or give a stranger a torch in case the street lights go out (here 11:30 at night)?

Click on the link. I put it there to give you enlightenment.
NATIONAL RANDOM ACTS OF LIGHT DAY
Oftentimes it takes just one gentle word or small token to help overcome darkness. On June 13, National Random Acts of Light Day encourages us to bring light to the darkness of cancer by surprising someone with an act of kindness.

14 June

World Blood Donor Day. (I was going to link the Blood donor thread to this but it has been removed. If Denant sees this perhaps he would like to create a new thread and point his signature to it?)

National Flag Day (USA) https://nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/ ... y-june-14/
National Pop goes the Weasel Day https://nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/ ... 0-june-14/

Half a pound of tuppenny rice,
Half a pound of treacle.

In and out the Eagle,
That’s the way the money goes,
Pop! goes the weasel.

National Strawberry Shortcake day
International Bath Day

I used to drink in the Eagle on City Road when I worked in London.... not too many pop shops around then... though there was one opposite the Angel centre. Seems like yesterday..... realises it was 25 years ago :wtf:
Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me
