Greavsie's a Saint....

Post by macliam » Sun Sep 19 2021 1:29pm

Jimmy Greaves, ex-England & Tottenham striker dies aged 81. He scored 44 goals in 57 games for England and was a member of the 1966 World Cup-winning squad. He also holds the record for most goals in the English top flight with 357, and scored 266 in 379 matches for Tottenham.

A severe stroke in 2015 left him confined to a wheeelchair and he has died just a few months after the death of his friend and former television co-host, Ian St John, who passed away at the age of 82 in March.

The pair became famous for their much-loved football show Saint and Greavsie in the 1980s.
