Now they're resigning en masse... 14 ministers in 24 hours has smashed the post-1900* record!

*Sorry, this is a correction from "all time" record mentioned previously.

Up to 15 ministers now and the overall total is ~30 resignations.

Hope he goes tonight. I've got some champagne ready!

Currently 38. BBC news said that some depts are at a standstill as there are no ministers left. (not sure how true that is). Apparently the cabinet is advising him to go and that if he does not there will be further cabinet resignations. But very little fact amongst the speculation.

Yes, it's been mentioned on LBC that scheduled committees are being cancelled as they wouldn't be quorate.

They've also just reported Patel to have switched allegiance. The same claim appears here:

Apparently Boris is seeing ministers one by one, rather than as a group.
So this could take a while.

Presumably he's trying to divide and conquer. Or win over individuals with promises of power and glory.

Apparantly Boris Johnson is refusing to resign, despite calls from his cabinet ministers for him to go.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-62048657

No champagne for Sarah tonight..

Brandon Lewis has resigned as Northern Ireland Secretary.

His is the first cabinet resignation since Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak quit yesterday evening.

A record 15 ministers resign in one day (updated to include Brandon Lewis)
BBC political research unit says a record 14 ministers have resigned in a single day today, more than have ever quit in a single day before.

The previous record was 11 ministers in 1932.
