Not visiting macliam this year after all

Post by blythburgh » Tue Mar 15 2022 8:25am

So last December we booked a holiday in macliam area. Book early and get what you want, where you want at an affordable price.

Home from doing the shopping and the phone rings. The owner of the holiday let has withdrawn from holiday lettings.

Nothing in macliam land that is affordable without going to Felixstowe which means a longish drive to get to the places we were hoping to visit.

Found one last night more inland from macliam land so sorry mo chara I will not be knocking on your door after all this year.

I find accommodation prices in this country to be eye-watering. A friend suggested we go to Southsea to take in a couple of museums for help with one where I am involved locally. I looked at accommodation prices and :wtf: ..... everything cost more than the boutique hotel I booked in Lisbon last year!! Even the "cheap" hotels wanted almost £200 for two nights....

So much for staycationing.

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me
