fancy a beach hut?

Post by blythburgh » Tue May 10 2022 9:47am

There is a beach hut for sale at Southwold. It is basically a wooden shed so no facilites and no sleeping in it at night. Sadly only 18 years left of the 30 year lease but you get first refusal on renewal. And nearly £1000 in ground rent. A snip at £250,00 but the estate agent thinks there will be a bidding war. Story is in the Daily Mail if you want to know more before trying to buy it according the MSN where I got the story. Later in the day I checked East Anglian Daily Times and I could swear I was reading exactly the same story.

Unbelievable but it is a big to the north of Gun Hill where the most expensive (identical) huts are. So how much would one of those cost. Of course the further north in the town you go the cheaper the beach hut and house.

Just checked on the local website and you can get one 10 miles away in Pakefield (southern end of Lowestoft) for a mere £30,00. Or go to Homebase and get the garden shed and some paint to decorate it for under a thousand quid
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler
