With my works pension I did not put this in my will, I filled in a form for beneficiaries ,
an6ypan6y is correct. This seems an unnecessary and complicated diversion to impose on imutual. Inheritance of your assets is best handled by means of a will (or intestate laws in the absence of one).

Pensions can be different, given that your family might receive extra benefits e.g. for death in service
From a imutual shareholders view such an ability as proposed would give a tactical advantage to each and every member.

We are here on imutual day-in-day-out, week-in-week-out, month-in-month-out, year-in-year-out, half-a-decade-in-half-a-decade-out. So to simply login and change our willed preference is straightforward, easy and free. imutual shares aren't like Royal Mail, BP or Facebook. imutual shares are a very hands-on affair.

We can simply write in our will:
I leave my imutual shares to whoever I chose in my online account option.
That means we can change our mind and do as we please until our last breath.

Gives us control over our shares.
A unique selling point for imutual.

YES = 27 = 68%

I had every faith that we, as shareholders of imutual, would vote in our best interests.

And we have done so   :D 8-) ;) 8-) :D

We, the shareholders of imutual have voted. When can we expect this to be implemented, please?

Polls results are just for guidance
It's not compulsory for Richard to act on them

I hope not - what a waste of time and company money. Just put it in your will, I leave my iMutual shares to (blah blah blah).

Really what's the point, only 40 members bothered to vote, the shares are unlikely to ever hold anything more than a nominal value, if that situation ever changes then it might become a relevant proposition. Right now I agree with Anthonyh, Richard has better things to use his resources and your money on.

We own the company, we voted for a change.

If it truly is a case that we have a say on how the company is run then this will be implemented.

Yes we do own the company and if you really want this then put in a motion for the AGM and we will vote on it
In a poll it's one member one vote
At the AGM it will be total shares that will count

No, we never voted for the change.

I voted against.

40 out of thousands does not make a Quorum and as far as I am concerned IF these polls are not taken as indicators of feeling, but a CONTRACT then they should be banned from appearing on this site at all.

I agree with the rest that say Richard, (and me and others) have better things to do than muck about implementing this none event.

If I had made a POLL about my quadraplegic spastic grandchild and the efforts to raise money for his operation in Yanksville (since the usefuckless NHS would rather him scream all night, even with pain medication, than operate on him) and that poll had 40 responses, I would do what I have done here, and abandon any request to waste any more time on the provisional idea.

If any Poll results become LEGALLY BINDING, then it should be a requirement that a minimum of 75% of the "active" membership (possibly just shareholders) MUST have voted or the results are VOID.

Fuxake.

As I posted Polls are not binding but just an indication of feeling about things
Of the 40 voters 13 were against and from what I've read in this thread they are the larger shareholders so it wouldn't be a done deal at an AGM
