Shares for Sir Kev?

Post by richard@imutual » Thu Sep 01 2011 9:45am

I'm sure that most posters here will agree that Kev's monthly quizzes are a highlight of the site, and it's very generous of him to give his time (and scratchies) to organise them. As a result, he does regularly feature in our POTM prizes but it occurs to me that members who make such significant contributions should at least receive a shares reward. I'd like to propose a reward of 100 shares per monthly quiz* - a modest prize but bearing in mind that this will set a precedent for others. Another benefit of these 'rewards' is that we get two different types of 'forum prizes', with POTM being more about significant one-off posts of high value rather than regular (and popular) features. Plus people can rate posts purely on their quality, rather than feeling that they 'ought to' vote for something because otherwise it won't get properly rewarded. (hope that makes sense :? )

I've created a poll so everyone can have their say on this

* If everyone agrees, then this reward would also be applicable to anyone else who puts significant time and effort into a forum 'initiative'. I'll make a judgement each month on any such 'initiatives' that qualify
