Merchants of the Week pay to be promoted.

The exact agreement I do not know, but for sure there is financial reward to be featured as Merchant of the Week.

Not to be dismissive of Forest

Unsure why you feel the need to comment on every merchant of the week regardless of what they sell or service they offer. Whether you have personal experience of them or not.

But I sincerely respect your right to make silly comments if you feel the need.
