Orbis Access ISA - £100 for investing £100, min term 12 months

Open an ISA or Junior ISA. Put in £100. They will match it with another £100. 12 month minimum term.

They only take fees when their investment go up in value. I've had my little ones Junior ISA with them fora while now and they are pretty good - all operated online.

I haven't read the small print but from what you are saying it is an exceptional offer. No profit - no fee looks very promising. You will only lose money if the value of the investment goes down, if it goes up they will take a fee which should not be more than your profit.

if the fee were as high as your profit there wouldn’t be a lot of point..
what are the underlying investments?

The fee is 50% of the profit above their own targets, and a 50% rebate when they underperform.

So basically if a profit is made we take half and if a loss is made we pay half. In a funny kind of way it seems rather fair. We are both taking half the risk / reward.

it does, but on the basis that it ought to be easy to profit more often than not, half of the profit is a lot.

The promotion is very compelling. Markets would have to show catastrophic falls for this not to show a very attractive return. If you assume no investment return, you're looking at £100 -> £200 over one year.

It does make me wonder where the risks are and how this isn't just a money drain for the investment company.
