Stockport whilst now in the Borough of Greater Manchester most locals still consider Stockport to be in Cheshire , especially if you are south of the River Mersey

I know where Stockport is, definitely Cheshire. My poor befuddled brian was still half asleep and not yet a brain and got fooled by the Mancunian bit.

My sincere apologies to all Stockportians and you may be be Greater Manchester Politically but all north of the mighty Mersy will always be Lancastrians to me, as those to the south will always be living in Cheshire.

The politicos have nibbled away at Suffolk (at one time as far norht as Gorleston was Suffolk) but when they wanted to put Newmarket into Cambridgeshire and at another time move Lowestoft into Norfollk people power won.

Perhaps this discussion should be taken to another tread but I agree changes are required at iMutual and the AGM is the place to vote on them but nothing is stopping us all formulating and discussing them ahead of the AGM.

I would welcome hearing other members view points.

Welcome to the club, bryonyhorror, any questions, no matter how silly they might be, please ask. We all remember being very confused newbies so are happy to help. And remember you are asking a question others who would like to ask but are too shy to do so.
