Memory lane

Post by richard@imutual » Fri Aug 10, 2018 2:50 pm

Was excited to see that someone registered yesterday via an article on the BBC website. Thought we must have suddenly got some publicity, until I clicked through and saw the date of the article....

Still, I'm sure it will bring back a few memories for some of the old-timers here ;)

"Members for Conversion" eh?

These days a link like that might be expected to be about something quite different!

Shows the power of selective advertising! How's about some more of that Richard??? After all we have just had the 8Millionth Transaction so worth using the overdraught to publicise that - isn't it?

Thankfully the Govt. has finally decided to make this illegal. And not before time. It does not work but it does cause immense suffering and can cause major mental illness

All members should be pushing the site, that is the best publicity as it a recommendation from a happy user not a company saying what it wants you to believe

...whilst I agree with your comment organic growth may not replace those that are lost to an aging web site. Consider the number of people you know; if all of them joined (unlikely) that would come nowhere near the amount that could be gained by one well placed and attractive advertisement...!!!

imutual has limited funds, I think that spending them on paying Richard to work on the site full time and improve many aspects of it is the best use of that money. Others may disagree with me of course.
