Forget the toys, after the Lord Mayors Show earlier today I saw the real cars being remotely controlled and spoke with a representative of a company called Five AI see: https://five.ai/ This guy basically believes these vehicles will run as unmanned taxis on London streets within the next two years!

I guess now is not the time to consider investing in an expensive new black cab or learning the knowledge...! :o

If you are looking in small size segment then you can look at the best mini RC Cars mentioned in this list.

https://www.techuntold.com/small-rc-cars/

You can find a few under $30. The best budget ones are:

$22.9 - https://www.amazon.com/Cheerwing-Racing ... B072N7HDHZ
$29.99 - https://www.amazon.com/Wall-Climbing-Re ... 073DKBQQY/

And also bear in mind his age. As I'm sure you know, younger children tend to be harder on toys.

RC cars are heavy on batteries - get rechargeables. Ikea are very good value if you can get there.

RC cars are yesteryear. It's drones you want to buy today.

So I looked at top post and wondered why it was not a birthday pressie then saw the dates.

And drones should only be used by those with a mental/emotional age that matches or beats 21. Sadly a few are 21 or older but have not grown up enough to be in charge of the drone

Not the big ones just those cheap smaller Chinese knock-offs.
