Who do vote for in the next General Election

Post by blythburgh » Wed Nov 21, 2018 11:27 am

My vote counts as I live in a swing constituency. Do I stay loyal and add to the national LibDem total or do I vote tactically is a question I face every time.

If Jacob Rees Mogg had got the necessary votes to topple Mrs May then it would be an easy choice: stay loyal.

But Mr Rees Mogg and friends seem to have misjudged the amount of support they can get so I still face that difficult question at the next election.

And if you wonder why I do not call him Moggy etc it is because, though I find him a crashing bore at all times, and usually strongly disagree with him over things, I can have respect for him. He wants power for himself but he will not change his views to garner the votes of the Tory party. He is an honest if, IMHO, misguided politician. Unlike the buffoon of course.

Hardly a relevant question, There is no general election planned as far as I am aware. Perhaps you know differently though?

Not planned but could happen given the state of politics at the moment. Especially as Labour are playing politics over the Brexit deal

I think a decision could be made once and if an election is called. Still a bit premature at the moment. Manifestos and statements by candidates have yet to be published. Not something to get excited over at this stage methinks.

You gotta feel sorry for May, carrying on as if everything is hunky-dory when in fact almost everyone is plotting against her!!!

What they are saying now gives you a pretty good idea of what each party stands for and the current Labour Party seems unlike any other I have ever known
