.... and the little guy ridden by the Youghal man wins back to back!

I don't normally go for he favourite and the odds seemed against him but, in the end, he made it easy!!

.... and my Saturday pick brought up the rear of the finishers

Who's have thought that, back in the day, no Irishman could own a horse worth more than £5

Maith thú agus maith sibh!!

We watched the race and chose 2 horses each for fun. One of mine was Rathvinden. Not sorry I did not put real money on it though.

On the bright side I got the usual weekly 2 £1 scratchcards at the corner shop. I had decided to get Payday ones but felt I should buy another game ones. So apart from the "household" money I spent £2 of my own money to get the Payday cards.

Won £2 on each set so spent £4 and won £4, 20p profit for corner shop and £1.12 for good causes so a great day's gambling. Most weeks it is a £1 win if we are lucky lol
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Just leaves one to be claimed
But he’s probably still recovering from staying up late drinking cocoa
Didn’t get to bed until half past 8

Thanks kev - the race was good, the interview afterwards was better! You could see Davy Russell's mind firing off in all directions as he poured pail after pail of water over the little Tiger's neck - and the fact that riding isn't just a job to him.... He reminded me of the O'Donovan brothers at the Rio Olympics... it must be something in the water on the Cork coast!! The only downside to the whole affair is the owner - with Michael O'Leary in charge it's a wonder he didn't arrive in Cheltenham to run in the Grand National!!

Thanks for registering the claim, you're a gentleman and a scholar! I'd even forgotten the wooden spoon and only mentioned Don Poli for the craic - never had first and last before!!
