Alabama have abolished abortion across the board, which goes against the Roe V Wade verdict, granting women the right to abortion.
Meanwhile Georgia have banned the procedure as soon as a foetal heartbeat can be detected, about 6 weeks
That does not go against Roe V Wade

And there's this

As Alyssia Milanio says time for women over there to withhold sex. Its no coincidence this law was passed by 25 men, male privilege well in action.

I am anti abortion but this seems to incredibly harsh and will lead to many illegal abortions with far too often horrendous results

Seems a little like the attempts to prohibit alcohol consumption in the US. There will continue to be abortions with lots of spurious medical justifications. The better off will be able to evade the legislation and lots of otherwise law-abiding people will be drawn into criminality. And the less well-off will suffer most.

Meanwhile, pro-lifers suddenly become remarkably less pro-life when it comes to the death penalty or to firearms and have to perform all sorts of logical and ethical contortions to justify their position.

Well, if women were to 'withhold sex', then they wouldn't get pregnant, so there'd be, generally speaking, no need for abortions. Problem solved.

Well exactly
it's a bit like people who are V strong advocates of democracy, trying to get a vote overturned because they did like the result
Wouldn't happen here :?

Who holds the majority of power? Men or women?
