Post by expressman33 » Thu Jul 18 2019 1:26pm

Might interest anyone in researching their past . If you put a post code or Street in the search field ( top left) you can find out who was living in any property in 1939 https://www.findmypast.co.uk/maps/downing%20street

Mine was a Coalyard/railway sidings until the Beeching era. Have no real interest in ancestors and where they lived etc.

We used to live in an old water tank on a rubbish tip. We got woken up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped all over us!
