Take dog out to area where it can run free. Do not be one of those who call it back with no result until dog decides to come so you can all go home.
Call dog to you, make a fuss of it and send it off again. Do this a few times and it will come back when you want to pop it back in car.
No endlessly calling a "deaf" dog
Other training tricks that will make you happy and dog obedient are out there but this is the easiest one.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Isn't that called 'training your dog'?
I thought that was what every dog owner did to get the dog to walk at heel, sit, come when called, fetch the TV remote, make dinner etc
