I hear what you say but my experience is most of these stores have closed for a number of reasons but a consistent factor is that the children who take over the family concerns usually never work as hard as their parents did. They don't work the same long hours and if they are not available people naturally start shopping elsewhere... :think:

I have a feeling this will be a never ending trend.... until the high street has been decimated forever.... I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to reverse the decline :(

The Morrisons closures are no big deal for the retail scene as a whole (obviously they are for the staff affected). It gets picked up as part of the general malaise of the high street. although retailers have always closed underperforming stores.
