Shock horror Bit like all the doomsayers who said that a vote for Brexit would be a disaster, WRONG
No one is in a position to say it is right or wrong yet. We have not left the EU

about the future about the future
Sounds like a Dalek
If wasnt for Moneyvista, O/P might have been trumpeting 5000 members
If wasnt for daily clicks, O/P might have been trumpeting 1000 members
Article from 2010 cited the "free share offer", have been a few members easily persuaded to believe.... since 2010, O/P tops them all.

Speaking of statements posters made that never happen;

I
Bar the new merchant suggestion thread which I will continue to post on for as long as you continue to pay 100% rate on all no spend offers that are added to the site
I will leave the rest of I-Mutual forum discussions to you and your apparent followers as I really have other things that would be much more productive for me to do.

Not only was apparent disappointment expressed on the thread, I subsequently received PM from 1 of those members expressing further disappointment hence me feeling sense of obligation to return. .....
Havent you noticed I stopped posting suggestions for new no spend merchants due to no longer paying 100% rate on them

It would only be an achievement if all those 10000 members were active.
How many were spam registrations?
How many registered and never became active?
How many registered then realised how the CB rates were so poor that they never came back again?
How many registered and then did not come back because we have such a limited range of merchants?
And so on and so on.
Before anyone get excited and says I am running the site down. I am just stating the facts and that 10000 is not really 10000 at all.
Whilst I hear what you (and others) are saying and a larger member base would indeed be welcomed (I'm sure, by all) but whatever the actual live membership levels are they have achieved the clear figure of close to 10Million transactions - that must be the core of the celebrations!
Lets just take that as a positive and hope our enthusiasm stimulates works elsewhere in the company that will see the actual membership grow!!!

Maybe.
But the reality is that IM is fading into irrelevance.
As I said in response to Richard's update on site developments:

..We have no mobile site (increasingly essential). The ‘weekly’ newsletter remains infrequent. The site design looks dated. With many of the dailies now disappearing, the reasons to visit are becoming fewer. If the tweets on the homepage are anything to go by, our social media presence is almost non-existent.

Any/all of those points can be applied to any/every cashback site
I never said otherwise!
But we seem to have the the only member of any C/B site that thinks it is a great achievement. Whereas I am actually pointing out that it is not an achievement to be celebrated but in fact the opposite. At this stage in the life of imutual highlighting it just serves to show that to date the site has failed in attracting a mass membership.

I bought an item online yesterday but no cashback. So phoned the company and the lady I spoke to did not get cashback so told her about imutual. She asked me towards the end of the conversation the name of the site again. We can get new members if we push it hard enough to enough people.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

TCB had 6.6 million members at the end of 2017.
That's about 10% of the UK population. IM has about 10% of the population of Scunthorpe.
