When does Autumn begin...?

It is nothing new, I have always known that Autumn starts on 1st Sept and the Autumn equinox is later in the month.

My expat friends in Australia celebrate Christmas by hiring a cabin in the ski resorts and cooking a full turkey dinner. In June.
