Don't know if this is just "Newspaper talk"
Britain will only be granted a Brexit extension by the EU if it agrees to hold a general election or a second referendum, it emerged on Wednesday night.

David Sassoli, the president of the European Parliament, suggested the conditions in Brussels on Wednesday night after Tuesday talks with John Bercow in London.

I think the EU has previously stated they would need a justification for another extension. A GE or 2nd ref could be suitable justification.

The EU want to see that there is a real chance of moving to a conclusion with the "B" word. They don't want to get into the quagmire of extension upon extension upon extension.

Totally agree. What I mean is that they would only agree another extension if there is a good chance it will lead to some sort of conclusion.

And the ERG and DUP. And all of the Tories fired by Boris.

Remember we had a deal in March. Had the ERG and DUP voted for that deal, it would probably have been passed by parliament.

Without even hearing Boris's proposed exit deal, (remembering even the Tory Party don't know the full contents of the deal) the Labour Party, Liberal UnDemocrats, SNP, etc have all said they would vote the deal down...

What sort of MP's have we got? There will be carnage at the next election and many of these holier that thou representatives may be loosing their seats!

At least we've got some MPs who actually care about the future of this country, unlike the liars who got us into this predicament.
