An absolute disgrace and I hope trading standards do something. Could Watchdog (BBC tv) or You and Yours (BBC radio 4) be an avenue to go down
A lady of that age could have poor eyesight and swallowed the offending piece
Yes I emailed watchdog last week
& WIlliamJoseph, yes it was food.gov.uk we reported them to.

Its all very confusing now but in short, I chased them up a further 5 times on the phone this week.
The latest is that they sent a 3rd letter out (after sending the other 2 letters to complete different addresses), so they gave me a tracking number. Upon looking on royal mail it seems they have also sent this one out to another random address as its been signed for by an unknown name, at a door number that doesnt exist on our road.
It seems they are now playing mind games with us because this evening I had this email out of the blue
''Good Afternoon
Unfortunately we are unable to discuss this any further, this case is now closed. Really sorry about this.
Kind regards
**** ****''
to which i replied,
''Please see below 3 emails you have not responded to.... this case has most certainly not been 'resolved & closed' as nobody has spoken to me, to been in touch by letter (as promised) regarding my complaint. This has been ongoing for 2 months and you have already sent the letter out to an incorrect address THREE times.''
Absolutely disgusting company..... off to find the ombudsman now.

Best to take it all the way to the Ombudsman.
Good luck.
