How well we're dealing with your claims - 1 Feb

Post by richard@imutual » Wed Feb 01 2012 10:24am

Here's our regular update on how effectively we're dealing with your claims for the small % of missing and incorrect transactions. If you want a bit more background to this and why it's important, see my preamble in the January update

As you can see from the chart below, of all claims submitted up to the end of November have been resolved (Michelle wins employee-of-the-month award - again!)

There were a few more claims than usual in November, but a third of them were for the same member and the same merchant  And we don't expect that to reoccur

And there is now a report which you can view at any time to see these stats.

I hope you'll continue to be reassured by these stats and feel confident in recommending imutual to your friends and contacts :)

The overall number of claims seems pretty low really, which is good.

Would have more significance if the number of valid transactions involved was also stated. :P
There are those who agree with and those who are convinced to agree with and I fall into neither of those categories ....

There were 1777 "claim-able" transactions in November, of which 23 (1.29%) required a claim

What about extended transactions - how many of those are there? Even if it was just long term (greater than 6 months maybe). This all looks well and good but when transactions go extended for a long time they aren't a claim but still aren't payable.
