I'm cautious about the effectiveness of the flu jab.
There are many strains of flu. Maybe a year in advance, the manufacturers have to decide which one to mass produce a vaccine for. How can they be sure they've picked the strain that's going to be prevalent?

That may or may not be the case, but better to have some cover than none at all surely. It is unlikely to do any harm.

Is the Flu jab the one that covers the entire face or just the hair?
I can never remember

I agree with the above, some protection is better than none.

And please get will soon, Adam.

I've had mine.... but I had quite a localised reaction to it, so a nasty few days.

I seem to have become reactive to a lot of things recently - I had my CT scan last Thursday and my reaction to the contrast dye is only just subsiding. Really odd reaction too - deep red swelling across the top of one thigh only :eh:

As for the flu jab, I hardly think it's going to be a silver bullet, but at least the common factors of known strains should be covered.... and some protection is better than none. It's a personal decision - but one that could have consequences both for the person involved and the NHS - as it's a lot better than treating full-blown flu.

PS, Raich - sorry to hear about Adam..... but with a suppressed immune system, maybe a flu jab is the least of his problems. Good luck.

Had lunch with the sister and her husband and one cousin and husband of 'im indoors last month, Flu jab came up and sister in law said she would not have it as she never had vaccines these days. I pointed out the way so many children were not getting their vaccines and that was criminal IMHO as I live with the results of having measles and know others with far worse problems from the same disease.

But sister in law said her (knows more than God and must be listened to) daughter said they put unnecessary poisons in the vaccine.

I said this was fake news but she insisted her daughter only went to reputable sites and what she was saying was proven truth.

Googled measles vaccine and what I saw was so awful and could see why a parent chose not to have their precious baby vaccinated if they are told about this pack of misinformation and down right lies. These flat earth people's stuff should come with a health warning.
