Black Friday

Post by pakefield » Sat Nov 30 2019 4:37pm

So did you spend on Black Friday? And are you going to on Cyber Monday?

I bought nothing but the wife spent a lot in a shop, a massive £3.50 but it was a true bargain in a charity shop.

But we will be spending bigger on Monday as that is the day we do our main shop but not online.

Yes I did break my word that I would not be spending any money on anything.

Well we went to Halesworth and in a charity shop I saw a brand new very large Teddy Bear for £3.50 so I had to have him. The lady who walks my housebound friend's dog several times a week (courtesy of The CInnamon Trust https://cinnamon.org.uk/) takes her courage into both hands as she says and gets various pubs etc to do raffles every Christmas to raise funds for MeadowGreen. https://dogrescuenorfolk.com/whatwedo

Just had to buy the Teddy and two charities benefit. Plus my neighbour cannot wait to see the lady's face when she hands it over today. We walked the dog yesterday as the Cinnamon Trust vol was helping out at a Christmas Fair.

So a donation to a charity shop has done more than just raise funds for the Elizabeth Hospice. Finished my Christmas presents/cards and decorations shopping so will not be buying on Cyber Monday either

I'm in the market for a quad bike but no offers were out-of-the-ordinary.

Zero spend for me.

I did buy some stuff, but only because it was the first time I got round to it. I'd forgotten it was Black Friday. I picked up a couple of 'bargains' where the price appeared to be reduced, but I'm well aware I probably could have got it cheaper at another time of year.

No suprise there then. And if you get the quad bike make sure you always wear a crash helmet. Too many serious head injuries or even death among those who did not

It didn't cross my mind. I'm in your debt for looking out for me.
