Horrible, horrible, horrible!

Post by macliam » Tue Dec 10 2019 8:53pm

I've just heard the H.Samuel's Christmas Advert - "It feels good to gift"

NO, NO, NO! "Gift" is a noun, the verb is "Give". It's a perfectly good verb, it isn't difficult - so USE it!!

Sorry, I'll calm down now :shifty:

And why do they all say 'for free?'
It's 'Free!' okay
why bother adding unnecessary words

So how do you feel about regift? :D

For what it's worth dictionary.com list both as verbs and nouns although they put noun first for gift and verb first for regift!

Relax, words are just words, it is the essence of what you feel when you gift that is special.

Sounds like we will be debating the ‘Oxford comma’ before long
I’m against it by the way
