Yes and no. Who actually misses Woolworths, Stead and Simpson or Littlewoods as somewhere to shop? They closed because, whatever their former strengths they had been outclassed by other stores that did the same thing better. We mostly took our wallets and purses to Wilko, Tesco, Primark, etc.
