We are here...

The self-proclaimed "Most Trusted National Newspaper" just printed this headline for its lead story...

...mixing up the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.

Their mistake was then duplicated by the Mail Online for its own furious rewrite of the story.

This state of affairs speaks for itself really.

less people buy newspapers so the owners cannot afford the high quality staff and so standards slip. Same happening with BBC as Govt. forces it to pay for more and more stuff that the Govt. has always paid for and should continue to pay for

It's a common mistake - but no less dumb for all that.

The United Kingdom was a founding member of the Council of Europe which was established in the immediate post war years, long before the European Union or its forbears.

The Council of Europe went on to draft the European Convention on Human Rights; the European Court of Human Rights upholds that Convention.

I am gone and some females object to the work lady, do not ask me why.

Airshow here a few years ago the gentleman who was commentating as an expert said the lady pilot. The idiot woman from Radio Suffolk sharply said "woman". The 2nd time she did this the gentleman said OK woman if you prefer it.

Stupid woman is one of the big names on Radio Suffolk, I know because she has one of the most high profile time slots. Never listen to her as I would rather listen to Radio Norfolk but the dial is always on Radio 4 unless it is footie time
