Not the ones I’ve worked in no.
In fact, some of the people who come in, Don’t look like they need food bank food
But the policy is ‘If in doubt, hand it out’

Can’t say I’ve ever seen Pancakes mix though

You can only get stuff from a food bank if you have been referred, nobody can just turn up and get food.

They gave Food to anyone who asked without judgement

I admittedly haven't worked in one, but believe that people attending food banks generally have the same biology and ability to consume the same food groups as everyone else.

I think Sarah means that people who go to foodbanks can eat the same food as people who don't use food banks.

I accept that some people are vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan or have food intolerances/allergies but as far as I know these are catered for at food banks.

The food bank box in Tesco and other supermarkets do not go to the Salvation Army so only people who have a referral can use them. The SA is probably less strict on who gets the food.
