The linked story is about the trial of an e-bike rider accused of causing the death of a pedestrian. The accused claims that he went through a green light when he hit the pedestrian. It appears from the news item that the rider was speeding rather than ignoring traffic signals.

I agree with the OP that too many cyclists breach traffic regulations, notably by ignoring traffic signals. But this does not appear to be one of those cases.

You missed the point again; lights red or green, you still should watch out for people at lights - even green lights don't mean your can plough into the stragglers still crossing the road as so many cyclist seem to think they can do!!! :wtf:

You posted a headline that doesn't really reflect the linked story. If that's missing the point, so be it.

I'm out.

A typical misleading post from the OP. Nothing unusual here.

What are you reading? It matched it perfectly: It's about a biker, there may be some dispute about him jumping the lights - either way he seems to have been riding illegally, the assumption is he has probably done this before and if he has any sense at all he will not be jumping red lights in the future...!?!

That's just a crazy unfounded comment which leads me to believe that is the sort of tact you take with anything written on here - just typical  !

Cyclists and pedestrains are like car drivers. Some try to jump amber lights when they can easily stop but others are so important the lights do not apply to them and the rest of us must suffer
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler
