I'm adding to index funds and fixed rate savings. Still have around £5K of this years ISA allowance remaining and then I'll increase contributions more slowly once we're into the next tax year. I'd be happy to hold Amazon and/or Alphabet but no idea of the correct price for either of them!

There is no "correct" price. It comes down to what your objectives are.

maybe.. but i think they'll be significantly higher in, for example, a years time than they are today.
