Companies Buying Back Shares

Post by planteria » Thu Mar 26 2020 7:06pm

I’ve been listening to Warren Buffett’s recent thoughts...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JvEas_zZ4fM

he mentions some companies that are consistently buying back shares,
which lead me to think of this characteristic when choosing companies.
he mentions Bank of America, American Express and Apple.
anyone aware of other companies which have buyback programmes?

this concept has been referred to in the financial press several times recently, generally as a negative, in that it's deemed to be a way for Directors to increase the value of the shares, in order to trigger bonuses, even if the companies are not performing as they should be.
