...but its not all about stockpiling is it: who has been in a resturant, café etc. lately? No one has cut back on the amount of food they eat so if they are not buying it in restaurants, cafés then we each are buying more than normal from supermarkets...?
On that point, what is happening to all the food that would normally be delivered to the catering trade?

My Tesco (possibly all of them?) is restricting many goods including tins to 3 per person. That's 3 tins of anything. So when I arrived at the till with 2 sweetcorn and 2 tinned tomatoes, the cashier put one aside.

Seems a tad harsh as 4 tins of 2 different things is hardly stockpiling and we are only supposed to go once a week.
Having to use Morrisons at the moment as cannot get a slot on Tesco. Getting a delivery once every 10 days but even then less than 80 items but there are only the two of us. Not going to any shops as having to self isolate as a precaution due to health of 'im indoors. Milk and More has been delivering to us since they took over local milk delivery firm so at least we get milk.

One problem with the stuff that goes to the catering trade is it is not in packaging that can go to supermarkets etc.
