I read that, in Germany, they have given 5,000 Euros to all the self employed people
I suspect, they remember the last time, a frustrated painter changed careers :o
The sickness befits and unemployment payments in Ireland are far, far higher than in the UK. it depends on the economy and the conditions of the payment - I doubt VERY much that EVERY self-employed person in Germany has been given €50000, or if so that self-employment there means the same as here.

Researchers admit additional Covid-19 complications in some people who have recovered could still last a lifetime: https://www.france24.com/en/20200402-fo ... 2463152530

Hope he recovers soon but more worrying is his fiancee has the bug and she is pregnant. For once I feel sorry for the pair of them. Never thought I would ever feel sorry for either of them.

Better to err on the side of caution.

Boris Johnson moved to intensive care -- quite possible that he may have pneumonia:
