Social distancing

Post by Boro Boy » Sun Apr 05 2020 12:40am

What part of "2meters" don't some people understand?

Earlier today out exercising/shopping opportunities away from the London crowds I came across our regular Italian Deli, there was 9 people in there - not 1 in 1 out just any amount at any time, just because the sun was out we shouldn't forget the virus is still about…! To top it off a woman comes out with a child in a pushchair and sneezes (uncovered) needless to say I didn't go in to the deli...!

My main gripe is not the shopkeepers or their customers (this wasn't the first shop I've seen like this) but just walking on the pavement only to be greeted with a bicycle sneaking up inches behind me on the pavement when the roads are empty. Now the new holier than thou runners are taking the place of the cyclists and doing the same close proximity - do they really think that because they are riding or running at speed that they can't infect people??? These crazy individuals want to show off their green credentials but what are they thinking!!! :wtf:

But Americans don't use Meters. They use Yards

My backyard is just a little over two metres. My front courtyard is even smaller.

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

Cyclists seem to be travelling in packs, they are obviously not from the local area, perhaps trying to take advantage of the recently advertised "empty" tourist spots in The City and no doubt taking advantage of the potential of spreading the virus far and wide...

It's in everyone's best interests that we don't see good weather and head out to the great outdoors.
