another one BB.. we're going to see a lot of businesses going under in the coming weeks and months now.
the lockdown has been a hibernation period, but the desire/expectation to reopen is going to do the real damage.

Not applicable to the UK
A Hertz spokesman told Sky News the bankruptcy claim only concerns its US and Canada operations.
However I do not disagree with the assessment by planteria.

This is an American thing that means you can hopefully avoid bankruptcy. Trump has used it more than once meaning he kept his businesses afloat and his money intact. Sadly the little businesses and the little people he owed money to were not able to do the same. So the rich benefit from this and the poorer suffer so I hope it does not come here
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Not a store, but Lonely Planet Magazine has published its last issue this month.

I guess it's due to a combination of reduced sales (no-one's travelling), reduced advertising revenue, and the difficulties of producing first-hand content about travel destinations. I suspect there may have been underlying pre-existing difficulties too, that made it impossible (or uneconomical) to adapt and stay afloat. Other travel magazines are still publishing (eg. National Geographic Traveller and Sunday Times Travel).

wasn't aware of that Chadwick.. people are looking at tablet's, or more likely their phones, for travel information, feedback and articles nowadays. another small part of the big ongoing trend.
