so..
i'd be prepared to bet that Gold is higher priced, in pounds, a year from now than it is today?
You're on.

The price quoted on gold.co.uk is around GBP1400. I bet you one imutual share that it's less than that on 1 June 2021.

How would you propose to settle the debt. Shares are not transferable and have no value. so not even possible to pay an equivalent in cash.

No thanks. There is no rational basis for the price of Bitcoin.

All that is not rational is not without value.

good question Richard Frost..
and there is pabenny, although accepted it takes some understanding.
do you want to come up with a value in pounds, or satoshis, instead of an imutual share?

Agree. But the lack of a rational basis for the price of Bitcoin makes it near-impossible to form a view of the future price, especially over a fixed time horizon.

As for the mechanics of settling the wager, I'll worry about that when it comes to collecting my winnings.

when you win your 1 (or 2) bets pab, i will be able to say 'you knew all along that i couldn't pay you your winnings'.. so perhaps it's in your best interests to propose an alternative. 1Bitcoin?1Kilo?1Pound?/bet

Another question will be What happens to Premium bond prizes with a negative rate?
Will we be sending them money?
Politically incorrect since 69
